We report the case of a 56-year-old woman, a farmer with a history of recurrent anemia, who presented with weakness and heartburn. Blood tests revealed microcytic hypochromic anemia with an initial hemoglobin level of 3.6 g/dL, which increased to 9.6 g/dL after receiving a 5-pack PRBC transfusion. Her occupational history and habit of not always wearing shoes support the suspicion of ancylostomiasis, although stool examination could not be performed. The patient was managed with transfusions, supportive therapy, hypertension control, and a single dose of albendazole. This case emphasizes the importance of early detection and prevention of helminth infections to reduce the risk of iron deficiency anemia in endemic areas.
2024-04-17T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal i Mappedic: Health Science Studieshttps://celebesscholarpg.com/index.php/iMappedic/article/view/150A 42-Year-Old Woman with ODS Astigmatism Myopia Compositus and os Vitreus Opacity2025-10-20T09:33:47+07:00Povitasari Povitasaripovtrsir433@gmail.comIda Nugrahaniidanghrni333@gmail.com
Astigmatism myopia composite is type abnormality refraction where both line focus light entering the eye is in front of the retina. Rajidmanmradimn@gmail.com
Health service quality is a fundamental component of effective primary healthcare delivery and has significant implications for patient satisfaction and treatment adherence. This study aimed to examine the direct and indirect effects of perceived health service quality on treatment adherence, with patient satisfaction as a mediating variable, in primary healthcare settings. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining a quantitative cross-sectional survey analyzed using structural equation modeling with qualitative in-depth interviews to enrich interpretation of the findings. Quantitative data were collected from 420 adult patients using validated instruments measuring service quality dimensions, patient satisfaction, and treatment adherence. The results indicated that perceived health service quality had a strong and positive effect on patient satisfaction, which in turn significantly influenced treatment adherence. Patient satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between service quality and adherence, with interpersonal dimensions such as empathy, assurance, and clarity of communication emerging as the most influential factors. Qualitative findings supported these results, highlighting the role of trust, respectful interactions, and clear information in motivating adherence behaviors. Overall, the study provides robust evidence that patient-centered service quality improvements are essential for enhancing satisfaction and promoting adherence in primary healthcare, offering important implications for health service management and policy development.
2024-04-23T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal i Mappedic: Health Science Studieshttps://celebesscholarpg.com/index.php/iMappedic/article/view/151Conjunctivitis2025-10-20T09:33:33+07:00Povitasaripovtrastr@gmail.comIda Nugrahaniidngfari87@gmail.com
Conjunctivitis is inflammation on conjunctiva Which can due to by infection bacteria, viruses, allergies, or irritation and is one of the most common eye diseases and can be contagious. Writing abstract done with method literature review to various source scientific Which relevant. Results show that Conjunctivitis can be classified into infectious and non-infectious, with the diagnosis being based on history and clinical examination, while additional examinations such as Gram staining or microbiological culture are performed in selected cases. Management varies according to etiology, ranging from supportive therapy to topical antibiotics or antihistamines, with a generally good prognosis, although complications such as keratitis or corneal perforation can occur in poorly managed cases. Therefore, correct diagnosis and appropriate therapy are essential to prevent complications and improve the patient's quality of life, while education on prevention and personal hygiene is needed to reduce the spread of infectious conjunctivitis.
2024-04-15T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal i Mappedic: Health Science Studies
